Human hair comes in many grades. The higher the grade, the better the quality of the hair that is used in making the unit from the time of collection to washing and creating the product. So the higher the grade, the longer the hair will last with proper care.
3A is processed human hair and often used to make colored hair wigs or weft. Recommended for quick-weaves or short term uses up to 3 months with proper care.
4A is a lower grade of virgin hair when compared to 5A. It contains more grey hairs and it is less expensive than higher grade hair. The hair is virgin, but not all cuticles lay in the same direction, leaving room for tangling and matting. The hair can be bleached up to #8. It is not recommended that you dye or bleach this hair. Hair will only last 3-6 mos with proper care. This hair is amongst many lower grade virgin hair found in many beauty stores with packaging claiming to be premium hair. Don't fall for it!!
5A less greys most popular virgin hair of high quality raw material
used in the making, it can be dyed and bleached to #27. The hair is virgin hair, but not of the highest quality. Can last 6 months to 1 year if well cared for. You will experience shedding with 5A hair.
6A 100% pure virgin hair with full cuticle going in the same direction. This grade is also known as royalty grade
and is more expensive. Most companies do not offer this grade of hair because it requires custom making and attention to detail. Because of this some manufacturers do not carry a large stock on
hand. This hair can be bleached & dyed to any color. Will last 2+ yrs with proper care. Pasha Virgin Hair Company sells 6A which is the highest grade amongst all listed.
