Pasha Virgin Hair

What's the difference between 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A grade hair?

Human hair comes in many grades.  The higher the grade, the better the quality of the hair that is used in making the unit from the time of collection to washing and creating the product.  So the higher the grade, the longer the hair will last with proper care.

3A is processed human hair and often used to make colored hair wigs or weft.  Recommended for quick-weaves or short term uses up to 3 months with proper care.

4A is a lower grade of virgin hair when compared to 5A.  It contains more grey hairs and it is less expensive than higher grade hair.  The hair is virgin, but not all cuticles lay in the same direction, leaving room for tangling and matting.  The hair can be bleached up to #8.  It is not recommended that you dye or bleach this hair.  Hair will only last 3-6 mos with proper care.  This hair is amongst many lower grade virgin hair found in many beauty stores with packaging claiming to be premium hair.  Don't fall for it!!

5A less greys most popular virgin hair of high quality raw material used in the making, it can be dyed and bleached to #27.  The hair is virgin hair, but not of the highest quality.  Can last 6 months to 1 year if well cared for.  You will experience shedding with 5A hair.

6A 100% pure virgin hair with full cuticle going in the same direction. This grade is also known as royalty grade and is more expensive.  Most companies do not offer this grade of hair because it requires custom making and attention to detail.  Because of this some manufacturers do not carry a large stock on hand. This hair can be bleached & dyed to any color.  Will last 2+ yrs with proper care.  Pasha Virgin Hair Company sells 6A which is the highest grade amongst all listed.

What is virgin hair?
Virgin hair is hair that is completely unprocessed and has the full cuticle intact.  In order for hair to qualify as virgin hair, it must meet many standards such as: not being permed, dyed, colored, bleached, chemically processed in any way. Virgin hair is the hair you want to wear your own hair in it's natural state or if you plan to dye the hair.  Virgin hair is likely to have a few strands of grey since it is in its natural color and has not been dyed.  This is a good indicator that you've purchased 100% virgin hair. It usually comes in a color range around #1b to #2 a natural dark brown to dark brown.

What is 100% human hair?
Many hair brands will only state 100% human hair on their label and in no way specifies what kind of human hair the consumer is purchasing.  Many hair companies source their hair from China where there are tons of manufacturers.  It is highly probable that the human hair you are purchasing is of chinese origin. Many companies who label their hair 100% human hair usually collect their hair from several donors and chemically process the hair to produce a refined look.

What's the difference between single/double drawn wefts?
Single drawn hair wefts are made up of hairs of all different lengths as it grows naturally on the head. The cuticles are intact and these pieces look very natural. Double drawn hair wefts are sorted so that all the hairs in a weft are within one or two inches in length.  This is sorted so that all of the strands are of the exact same length. This is the most expensive grade of hair because of the time and care that is required to get the hair so detailed and precise.
